History
Gold Country Bank has grown from one foothill community's determination to provide banking and financial services to its residents to now encompassing the entire Yuba-Sutter area. The company continues to experience phenomenal success in the Yuba, Sutter, and Butte County regions due to the consistent, high-quality, and exceptional customer service at each of its
five branch locations.

A Short History of Gold Country Bank
Chartered on December 31, 1986, Gold Country Bank originally opened as Foothill Community Bank in Brownsville, California. This bank charter was driven by a group of 15 men and women determined to provide banking services to a Yuba County foothill community where there were no other banking services for more than 30 miles.
From that single branch office in Brownsville, the Bank recognized another opportunity to provide banking to a community lacking such services. In 1989, a branch in Live Oak was opened. In order to support the ongoing growth in the City of Live Oak, in 2007 the Bank relocated to a new office at the corner of Highway 99 and Pennington Road. Our newer and larger Live Oak Branch provides better access and the addition of drive-up services for our customers.
In September 1993, the overwhelming success of the Bank’s products and services encouraged expansion into historic Marysville. Located in the heart of the downtown shopping district, the Marysville branch also serves as the Bank’s headquarters and houses the Bank's Administration offices.
In 1995, Gold Country Bank expanded its service area to include Yuba City. In May of 2003 this branch relocated to our state-of-the-art building at 620 N. Walton Avenue, home of the Bank’s mascot “Walton Goldbridge”. "Walton", our larger-than–life-sized bronze gold miner, is truly a one of a kind work of art by local artist, Keith Christie. Our Yuba City location offers convenient drive-up services and is also the home to Gold Country Bank's staff of local loan officers.
After creating and operating four successful branches, Gold Country Bank expanded into the historic town of Gridley in southern Butte County in 1998. In early 2000, the Gridley branch relocated to a new and larger downtown location at 567 Virginia Street to better serve its customers.

Gold Country Bank’s deposit products include a complete package of checking, savings, IRA/SEP, and certificates of deposits for both personal and business use. Our convenient banking services include online banking and bill pay, night drop, merchant services, courier service, ATMs, and drive-up tellers at our Yuba City, Marysville, and Live Oak branches.

Gold Country Bank also offers specialized loan products, including residential and commercial construction loans, real estate loans, business and commercial loans, and individual loans and overdraft protection. As agriculture is a vital part of our community, Gold Country Bank has expertise in providing financing to both small and mid-sized farmers. To further develop business and agriculture in our community, the Bank is both an SBA and FSA approved lender.
