Our History

On March 12, 2007, the merger of equals between FCB Bancorp and National Mercantile Bancorp was completed and a new holding company, First California Financial Group, Inc., was formed. First California Financial Group, Inc. now has three subsidiaries – First California Bank, Mercantile National Bank and South Bay Bank.

On June 18, 2007, the technology integration and conversion was completed and three banks became one under the name of First California Bank. Our Torrance location continue as South Bay Bank, however, as a division of First California Bank.
