Coast Central Credit Union's are financial institutions made up of (and owned by) a pool of members with something in common. Coast Central Credit Union's common bond is our local community: most of our members live or work in Humboldt, Del Norte, or Trinity County. Credit union members pool their assets together to help make high dividend yields and favorable interest rates possible, because all earnings above required reserves are passed directly back to members.

As opposed to banks and other financial institutions which seek to earn profit for their boards and stockholders, credit unions are generally run by volunteer boards of directors and are in business to benefit their members. Just like larger banks, credit unions can offer a full array of products and services, allowing you to conduct all of your financial business in one place.

When you do business with a local credit union, your money stays at home in your community. Coast Central has sponsorship and community involvement programs which constantly circulate funds through our local economy, supporting local schools, clubs, and other community organizations.
