About Us
Our History & Leadership

In 1998, with no commercial bank headquartered in the Palm Springs area, an opportunity presented itself to create a commercial banking institution with community appeal. A triumvirate was formed, consisting of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, 350 community shareholders and an eight-person board of directors, five of whom were previous bank directors. Together they formed Canyon National Bank.

Today, Canyon National Bank holds a ten-person board of directors and serves the banking needs of the Coachella Valley while proudly catering to Native American Tribes throughout the western United States.

Customer service is at the center of our mission. Prompt personal assistance is expected - and delivered by our knowledgeable staff - every day. It has made CNB so popular that our total asset size has grown from zero to more than $300 Million in just ten years.

In addition to customer service, CNB is dedicated to community outreach. We work with groups such as Palm Springs Desert Museum, Frank Sinatra Celebrity Golf Tournament, Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, Palm Springs Economic Development Corporation, Desert Health Care Foundation, Braille Institute, Multiple Sclerosis Society and nearly all the Coachella Valley cities' Chambers of Commerce.

We serve our customers and community by being here when they need us. With their support, we have grown, not just in assets, but also in our ability to provide quality products and respond to their needs.

With four branches in the Coachella Valley, we are positioned to respond to the exceptional growth that is taking place in the desert. The future looks bright for our customers, our community and Canyon National Bank.
